Our Weymouth, MA location is actively looking for a Mechanic Apprentice . The job will assist in the maintenance and repair of  Light Duty trucks, Heavy Duty  trucks, tractors, trailers or containers.  This position will mentor under a qualified mechanic.

Key Responsibilities:  

• Ensures Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times;
• Assist with performing preventative maintenace tasks and inspections on company vehicles and equipment
• Disassemble, inspect, and replace worn or broken parts and components. Fit and adjust new or repaired parts/components under the watch of a qualified mechanic.
• Timely and accurate completion of paperwork such as Work Orders, Inspections, Inventory Sheets, and time and attendance recording.
• Keep the shop area clean, tidy and free of hazards at all times, as well as reporting all hazards
• Train to use basic mechanic tools and / or welding equipment
• Learn and retain basic mechanic and/or welding skills with periodic evaluation.
• Opportunity to learn additional skills could include body shop repair, body paint, detailing, decal installation, and systems.
• May require parts pick up and delivery to shop location
• Actively pursue CBPP level 1

What does it take to work for Clean Harbors? 

• High School Diploma (or equivalent);
• Valid Driver’s license is required as well as a clean driving record/MVR
• Ability to assist with and perform routine maintenance
• Speaking, listening, sitting, standing, grasping, reaching, walking, stooping, crouching
• Lifting, pulling, pushing or carring up to 50 lbs.
