The Opportunity:


Clean Harbors Eagan, MN location has an opening for an Environmental Technician to work at a local customer site. They would be responsible for the performance of tasks associated with handling, segregating, packing and inspecting all chemical wastes in accordance with our company policies and procedures; Our Environmental Technician position is an entry point into an exciting and rewarding career at Clean Harbors. Transitioning Military, this is a great opportunity to leverage your skills and training as you return to civilian life.

Key Responsibilities:  

  • Ensures that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times;
  • Making chemical pickups throughout customer facility as directed;
  • Conducting chemical bulking/consolidation as required;
  • Packaging of chemical waste to maximize efficiency and maintain compliance;
  • Ensuring work area is maintained in a neat and orderly manner;
  • Participating in spill response on customer’s site as needed;
  • Responsable for satellite accumulation management;
  • Inspections on main accumulation areas weekly/monthly;
  • Experience with adhesives, corrosives, flammable items and non-hazardous materials a must;
  • Lab packing, gas cylinder management, universal waste management; manifests, waste profiling;
  • Scheduling shipments.
  • Collects, segregates, and properly packages waste chemicals for disposal to maximize efficiency and maintain compliance;
  • Physically demanding position; Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.


 What does it take to work for Clean Harbors?

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required;
  • Hazardous waste experience a plus;
  • Valid Driver’s License and clean Motor Vehicle Record;


Some positions also require a pre-hire medical exam and/or a driving history review. Must meet all work eligibility requirements. Environmentally-responsible business.
