Clean Harbors in Edmonton, AB is currently looking for Material Processing Technician to join their safety focused team! The successful candidates will be responsible for operating and maintaining dredges and centrifuge systems. This position requires travel between 2-4 weeks at a time based off the project demand. 

Please be advised it is mandatory for candidates to hold valid First Aid, H2S Alive, and CSO/CSTS safety certifications prior to starting this position. Proof of certifications will be requested during the recruitment process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes;
  • Operates centrifuges and electric dredges;
  • Maintains centrifuges and dredges;
  • Rigs up and rigs out dredging and centrifuge equipment;
  • Performs general duties required to complete work, such as: debris removal, clean up, set up, etc.;
  • Completes all required paperwork.

What does it take to work for Clean Harbors?

  • Must hold valid First Aid, H2S Alive and CSO/CSTS certificates (will be required to provide proof prior to first day)
  • Willing to travel overnight up to 75% annually;
  • Class 5 Driver's License is required;
  • Class 1 or 3 License is an asset;
  • Previous end dump experience is an asset;
  • Experience operating front-end loaders, wheel loaders, or skid steers is an asset;
  • Previous centrifuge operating experience is an asset;
  • Previous dewatering experience is an asset;
  • Boater's license is an asset.
