Clean Harbors Topeka, KS is looking for an Entry Level - Technician to join their safety conscious team! Entry Level - Technicians are responsible for the performance of tasks associated with site maintenance, responding to hazardous and non-hazardous waste activities and the handling of different types of recyclables and non-recyclable waste material.

Key Responsibilities: 

• Ensuring that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times;
• Performs non-emergency and emergency response activities that deal with hazardous and non-hazardous waste;
• Performs labor intensive activities in all weather conditions throughout the shift;
• Works in atmospheres with low clearances, confined spaces in full PPE and occasionally under air in a respirator and at heights;
• Operates light and heavy equipment including: site vehicles, skid steers, forklifts, and other various equipment;
• Removal/cleaning/scraping/sweeping; Manual labor;
• Must wear all company provided proper protective equipment.

What does it take to work for Clean Harbors? 

• Previous construction or industrial technician experience preferred;
• Valid Driver’s License preferred;
• Safety oriented mindset with dedication to follow all policies, procedures, and directives;
• Ability to pass a preemployment screening process, including: drug screen, physical, and background check.
