The Opportunity:

Clean Harbors is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to join their HR Support team! The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for providing day-to-day tactical and administrative support on HR practices and policies that deliver best in class focused HR solutions for the designated line of business. They will work closely with the HR Field to support an employee-oriented, high performance culture emphasizing empowerment, quality, productivity and standards, goal attainment and the ongoing development of a superior workforce.

Key Responsibilities:  

• Ensuring that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times;
• Conducts/maintains a continuing study of all HR policies, programs, and practices.
• Assist and support HRBPs/HRDs in administrative tasks related to day to day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Generate reports and communicate information to appropriate HRBP/HRD on a timely basis.
• Track and report on metrics and special initiatives to help support HR Management.
• Assist and support in resolving employee relation issues; investigations, by obtaining research documentation, for the HRBP/HRD.
• Provide administrative support on special projects and initiatives, as required.
• Maintain corporate culture of excellence and enforce company's key values.
• Assist HR and Business Leaders with specific projects related to performance management, development, and reduction.

What does it take to work for Clean Harbors?

• Diploma or Degree Required. Focus on Human Resources Preferred;
• Good communication skills;
• Must be organized and detail oriented;
• Strong PC Skills: Proficient in Windows based applications; and Oracle/Peoplesoft (preferred);
• Ability to multitask, work under pressure & meet deadlines;
• Ability to maintain confidences.
