The Opportunity:

Clean Harbors Boston, MA facility is looking for a Material Handler to join their safety conscious team! Known internally as the InSite Technician you will work indoors between two locations. Responsibilities include the collection, identification, and proper packaging or lab packing of hazardous and non-hazardous waste. You will perform tasks associated with preparing, testing, packing, and inspecting all chemical wastes. Valid Driver’s license, a clean driving record and a vehicle is required.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensuring that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner  at all times.
• Loading, packaging and segregation of materials and waste products.
• Quality control check and sorts bins
• Assisting the Lead Field Chemist with the execution of assigned lab pack projects.
• Ensure drum count is correct and that drum conditions are shippable in accordance to the policies and procedures of Clean Harbors.
• What does it take to work for Clean Harbors?
• Lab-pack experience is a plus.
• 1+ years of related experience such as warehouse or materials handling experience

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
• Valid DL & clean driving record
• Vehicle Required  
• Experience with handling hazardous materials is a plus but not required
• Strong customer service skills
• Local travel as business demands require.
• College degree in chemistry, biology or other natural science preferred but not required
