The Opportunity:

Clean Harbors Rochester NY facility is looking for a Material Handler to join their safety conscious team! Known internally as the InSite Technician duties will include taking waste inventory, creating shipping documents, loading bulk solvent onto tanker trucks, keeping records of waste disposal, confirm that waste storage areas are in compliance, communicating with customer. Valid Driver’s license, a clean driving record and a vehicle is required.  Computer skills required.

Key Responsibilities:

•Ensuring that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and always acting in a safe manner.

•Computer literate

•Loading, packaging and segregation of materials and waste products.

•Quality control check and sorts bins

•Assisting the Lead Field Chemist with the execution of assigned lab pack projects.

•Ensure drum count is correct and that drum conditions are shippable in accordance to the policies and procedures of Clean Harbors.

•What does it take to work for Clean Harbors?

•Lab-pack experience is a plus.

•1+ years of related experience such as warehouse or materials handling experience

 

Qualifications:

•High School Diploma or GED Equivalent

•Computer Skills with knowledge of Excel

•Ability to lift 50 lbs

•Valid DL & clean driving record

•Experience with handling hazardous materials is a plus but not required

•Strong customer service skills

•Local travel as business demands require.

•College degree in chemistry, biology or other natural science preferred but not required
