Clean Harbors is currently looking for an RO Operator to join the team at a customer site in Port Hope, ON. The Wastewater Supervisor will work day shifts and OT as required and will be responsible and accountable for day to day wastewater operations at our facility. The candidate will complete wastewater treatment operations and assist in providing direction to staff in line with Clean Harbor's policies and strategy. Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times;
- Work on reverse osmosis units as part of a larger waste water treatment process
- Conduct daily, bi-weekly and/or monthly inspections (for proper system operation, inventory, organization, general tidiness and cleanliness) in addition to overseeing the tracking, scheduling and completion of equipment maintenance; Inspection data will be entered into daily, weekly and monthly reports;
- Complete or ensure completion of periodic field inspections to monitor operations, repairs, installations and to document that equipment is kept up to customer and Clean Harbors standards in addition to ensuring quality control and verifying that established procedures are being followed (i.e. Use of PPE, proper sampling procedure, customer relations);
- Repair and submit daily and weekly reports to the customer;
- Ensure all appropriate operating permits are complied with in a timely fashion by fostering a professional and personable working relationship with the appropriate regulating authority.
What does it take to work for Clean Harbors?
- Experience working on reverse osmosis systems is required;
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a water treatment plant;
- Strong organizational skills, the ability to prioritize work assignments, and the ability to be flexible and work extended hours in order to meet tight deadlines;
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
