Safety-Kleen Chambly, QC is looking for a Lab Technician to join their safety conscious team! You will be responsible for sorting and consolidating Lab Packs and performing initial sampling to verify material acceptance.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Ensures Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times;
  • Consolidates and/or packaging Lab Packs for transfer to the disposal site;
  • Takes samples from all drums and preforms sample analysis following prescribed procedures;
  • Calibrate and use the laboratory instruments required to perform the basic analysis;
  • Completes all associated documents for Lab Packs / consolidation, analyzes, and sampling;
  • Records the sampling results on the reception  report and collects samples that require further analysis in the laboratory.

What does it take to work for Safety-Kleen?

  • Bachelor’s Degree in chemistry, environmental sciences or related field required;
  • Experience handling chemicals and performing laboratory testing;
  • Good communication skills;
  • Bilingual is an asset.
