The Opportunity:

The Facility Training Manager is responsible for the overall training function of the facility. This includes, although not limited to, developing, and delivering training modules, defining personnel training requirements and needs, and tracking the completion of training courses by facility personnel. Responsible to achieve 100% clean compliance for training.  This will include working closely with Managers and Supervisors as needed to achieve this goal with weekly updates. Assisting as needed with issues completing such training.  Training Manager must be the driving force for monthly completion of all training.

  • Ensures Health and Safety is the number one goal by following policies, processes, and always acting in a safe manner
  • Create new & update current Standard of Procedures (SOP) due to either annual or triennial time lapse, MTI’s, PCR’s etc.
  • Maintain employee electronic training files by scanning documents into .pdf and coping to their individual electronic training folder.
  • Create a “Record of Training Document” and collect signatures from affected employees pertaining to SOP, MTI & PCR changes, and a copy in their electronic training folder
  • Create Monthly Hazwoper Schedules and do the monthly classroom Hazwoper Modules
  • Enter Hazwoper Class rosters & SOP quizzes into PeopleSoft
  • Post New Union Bids, Awards, or other Union related documents
  • Keep file folder on originals and scan .pdfs to Teamsters Union Hall and DE’s Union Stewards
  • Manage, update & distribute Monthly “Employee Qualification” Listing
  • Manage various Safety, RCRA, DOT & OSHA training programs
  • Administer testing procedures for job qualifications when required


  • High school diploma or equivalent required - Associates Degree or higher preferred
  • 5+ years training experience in a facility operation, educational or other related environments
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of an organization
  • Ability to influence and mentor supervisory and management teams
  • Solid understanding of facility’s operation
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Technologically savvy
  • Emergency training a plus
