The Opportunity:

The Senior Finance Director ERP is the primary business ERP partner to Corporate and Operational Accounting organizations. This role supports Executive/Senior/Vice-Presidents and Regional Managers to ensure that financial ERP system requirements are effectively defined, communicated, designed, and tested.

The role provides an opportunity to work in a challenging, fast-paced environment leveraging a team that has a sizable impact within financial operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that Health and Safety is the number one goal by following policies, processes, and acting in a safe manner at all times;
  • Work diligently with Operation and Corporate Finance resources for to develop future ERP replacing PeopleSoft system;
  • Oracle liaison between finance organization and IT;
  • Identify business requirements and business process that will provide primary input for future ERP system;
  • Develop requirements for future ERP enhancements that drive accounting efficiency and business performance;
  • Effectively communicate and present business system requirements and user input to development team;
  • Make recommendations on ERP system best practices;
  • Identify and prioritize test requirements;
  • Work with IT team to effectively manage system deficiencies;
  • Make recommendations to improve system quality;
  • Special projects as required.

What does it take to work for Clean Harbors?

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting preferred (MBA preferred);
  • 10+ years in financial ERP related systems;
  • Prior experience leading/managing a small department of professionals;
  • Outstanding leadership and organizational skills;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Strong Oracle ERP experience;
  • Ability to adhere to deadlines and adjust accordingly;
  • Must be an analytical and flexible thinker with a high attention to detail;
  • Comfortable working in cross-functional teams and with people at various levels in the organization.
