The Opportunity:

Clean Harbors is looking for a Sales Operations Analyst that will work with Sales Operations team  and the North America Sales teams to continuously analyze sale performance results, build interactive dashboards, evolve budget forecasting models, and make business recommendations to senior management based on those analyses – all in an environment of rapid growth and increasing complexity. This will include working with the Specialized Sales leadership to develop, implement and manage the business processes, systems, reports, and strategies that optimize business functions to meet organizational goals and initiatives. In this role, you will work closely with members of the sales and business development teams, to ensure we are capturing and surfacing the best data and information to make optimal business decisions across our organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure Health and Safety is the number one goal by following policies, processes, and acting in a safe manner at all times.
  • Develop and maintain the quality, accuracy, and timeliness of standard sales performance reporting and BI Dashboards
  • Identify projects, compile data, perform complex analysis and present findings to sales management team in an efficient and professional manner
  • Support the Sales budgeting and forecasting processes by interfacing with various departments and management levels
  • Partner with Sales leaders to understand business needs and make ongoing recommendations based on fact-based inquiries and data analytics
  • Use data and insights to identify key business trends and develop new reporting and analytics tools to improve visibility into sales performance
  • Go above and beyond initial analysis requests by determining what questions we should be asking; proactively provide answers to the next logical questions before they are asked
  • Prioritize and manage a variety of high-visibility, high-impact analytical initiatives
  • Enthusiastically assist on day-to-day sales operations tasks as needs arise.

Qualifications / Skills:

  • Business-related BS degree
  • 0 - 3 years’ experience in Sales Operations or a similar role
  • SQL experience required
  • Programming and familiarity with dashboarding / business intelligence tools like Power BI and Tableau a plus
  • High proficiency with Microsoft Office suite of products, particularly with Excel
  • Strong strategic thinker and problem solver
  • Exceptional attention to detail. Smart, thorough and able to work independently.
  • Personable, able to work effectively as a member of a team and build relationships with peers and internal customers in other departments
  • Superior communication skills, both written and verbal.  Ability to simplify and explain complex analyses.
  • Good work ethic, desire to learn and be challenged, self-driven and motivated
