Healthcare Environmental Technician

Clean Harbors is currently seeking a Healthcare Environmental Technician to work at a customer site in Kent, WA. The successful candidate will act as an Environmental Specialist working on site in Kent and will be responsible for segregating, identifying and packaging waste; drum handling and staging of waste pick-ups. Previous warehouse or forklift experience is helpful.  Additional responsibilities may include decontamination jobs, chemical delivery and assisting with weekend household hazardous waste events.

Key Responsibilities:  

• Ensures at Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times;
• Conducts chemical bulking/consolidation;
• Packages waste to maximize efficiency and maintain compliance;
• Ensures work area maintained in a neat and orderly manners;
• Participates in spill response on customer’s site;
• Inspect drums for container integrity and regulatory compliance;
• Safe loading and unloading of waste hauling vehicles;
• Conduct waste stream sampling and profiling.

What does it take to work for Clean Harbors?

• 1+ years of previous hazardous waste experience preferred;
• Ability to use handheld computer devices;
• Valid Driver’s license, clean 3-Year MVR;
• HAZWOPER certification an asset.
