The Opportunity:

The Internship Opportunity - Mechanical Engineer
Our Breslau, ON branch is currently seeking a Mechanical Engienering Co-op who will be working directly with our Plant Inspector and Maintenance Manager on the in-house Mechanical Integrity Program. In this role, the successful candidate will create as-built drawing of existing piping layout within the Re-Refinery.

The student will interface with the Plant Inspector and Maintenane Manager to develop the Mechanical Integrity Equipment Inspection Program and execute inspection or replace of equipment utilizing Risk Based Inspection technics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times;
  • Field verify and develop asbuilt drawings using AutoCAD;
  • Contribute to the development of Mechanical Integrerity Program;
  • Initiate equipment inspection.

What does it take to work for Safety-Kleen?

  • Current Sophomore or Junior enrolled in a 4-year degree program (Mechanical Engineering preferred);
  • Advanced AutoCAD skills;
  • Advanced computer knowledge;
  • Verbal and written communicaton skills.
