Clean Harbors Edmonton, AB is currently looking for a 1st Cook to join their safety conscious Remote Camp team! The 1st Cook is responsible for working together with the Chef to ensure daily operations run smoothly and efficiently, while managing menu planning and cooking responsibilities. 

Please note that we provide transportation to our remote camps in the Fort McMurray, AB area.

Key Responsibilities:  

• Ensure that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times;
• Manage inventory daily and compile inventory report monthly;
• Compile a weekly menu in advance (10 days would be preferable);
• Order, maintain and organize grocery stock, managing food costs efficiently;
• Assist in unloading trucks and stocking groceries in the camp as well as assisting in preparing and loading for rig moves and shutdowns;
• Make sure meals are prepared every day and ensure the kitchen and dining areas are clean and sanitary at all times. 

What does it take to work for Clean Harbors? 

• 1+ years of previous experience working as a 1st Cook;
• 6+ months of camp or hotel experience;
• Customer service experience;
• Food Safe certification is required; 
• First-Aid certification is an asset;
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment;
• Supervisory experience is an asset.
