The Opportunity:

HydroChemPSC is looking for a Field Safety Representative to join their safety conscious team! The Field Safety Representative inspects work areas and equipment to ensure compliance with company, state, and federal safety policies and regulations. Oversees ongoing work sites to ensure personnel comply with company and client safety requirements.

 Essential Duties:

  • Ensuring that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times;
  • Conduct site audits and interventions, investigate, oversee, and observe safety conditions and manage safety permits and required paperwork;
  • Manage employee safety training programs; Participate in Program development and implementation;
  • Maintain JLA’s (job loss analysis), JHA’s (job hazard analysis) and manage safety equipment inspection and testing programs;
  • Respond to emergencies and incidents and manage injury and accident follow-up and reporting;
  • Establish relationships with client safety departments and local governmental and regulatory officials and personnel;
  • Demonstrate proficiency at a wide variety of assignments and can direct personnel in operational procedures to complete assignments Inspects assigned work areas and equipment to identify compliance issues;
  • Documents safety inspections, citing dangerous areas/procedures/practices;
  • Recommends corrective actions;
  • Maintains safety equipment supply and availability;
  • Stewards the Loss Prevention System process;
  • Meets the Loss Prevention System requirements;
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

 Working Environment:

Field/Plant environment

 Skills and Experience:

  • 2+ years of progressively responsible and related experience
  • Safety certification preferred
  • Strong communication skills
  • Technical working knowledge of health and safety compliance and operational safety procedures

Educational Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver's license
