The Opportunity

The InSite Program Representative known internally as an InSite Program Manager supports the execution of a client’s environmental management program. 

The InSite Program Representative serves as the client’s main contact and primary interface with Clean Harbors on a daily basis. They are responsible for and manage the client’s environmental services and hazardous waste program.

This position will work out of the client’s site JLabs Toronto.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times;
  • Adhere to Health and Safety Practices of at all times while on site; Communicate H&S feedback with technical Services H&S efforts upon request, including data capture, site review, and delivery of training content if needed;
  • Support the operations manager in a fast paced laboratory setting by responding to request from laboratory personnel and monitoring the compressed gas needs of the laboratory;
  • Conduct facility wide compliance inspections daily to include inspections of staging, accumulating and storage areas to ensure proper housekeeping procedures and compliance;
  • Manage waste storage area and ensure that material is properly packaged, profiled and labeled prior to shipment;
  • Coordinate all hazardous waste related shipments, complete all shipping documentation;
  • Complete monthly waste disposal and recycling reporting.


What does it take to work for Clean Harbors?

  • Post Secondary Education in Chemistry or within a Chemistry focus required;
  • Experience working in a chemical lab is strongly preferred;
  • Experience in an environmental field or with hazardous waste is preferred;
  • Experience Ontario Waste Regulations preferred;
  • Experience with TDGA preferred;
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision;
  • Strong attention to detail, with great organizational skills;
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills;
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, ever changing environment.
