Clean Harbors is looking for a Chemist Development Manager, known internally as a Program Manager, to join their safety conscious team!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times;
  •   Reduces Voluntary Turnover in Retail, InSite and CleanPack® staffing
  • Achieves quarterly staffing goals as established by Regional and District Management at the branch level
  • Sum of Retail, CleanPack® and InSite
  • Assist in growing CleanPack®  product line
  • Directs and Leads CleanPack® Chemist Recruiting and Retention Project with direction & assistance from HR and manager
  • Ensures all direct employees (existing and new) in Technical Services have initial ERMS training on CBPP relative to their position within the organization
  • Produces monthly reports on deficiencies related to lack of compliance by management with CBPP, lack of timely performance reviews
  • Develops and distributes new content for Branch Operations meetings
  • Hosts monthly Coordinator Call for CleanPack® in cooperation with CleanPack®  coordinator
  • Centrally tracks all Retail, CleanPack® and InSite employees – interviewing all over the course of careers to communicate and explore career opportunities and which titles interest them the most.  Also tracks which employees want to stay at their current location and which would move.
  • Tracks and ensures high potential employees have significant management interaction
  • Works with CP trainer on future content that enables employees to be trained on what is important to our customers
  • Develops mechanism to capture field packaging issues, follow up with Branch management and make recommendations to improvements in SOPs
  • Interacts with Coordinators and Branch Managers to ensure all staffing issues are addressed in the life cycle of a Chemist/Technician) (recruiting, hiring & retention)
  • Work with management in assistance of TS specialist salesforce activity, revenue generation, margins.
  • Assist in monthly Specialist calls
  • Assist in the creation of TS Specialist trainings to drive business growth

  • Knowledge of CleanPack®, Retail, and InSite lines of business,
  • Experience in managing people;
  • Preferred knowledge on CleanPack® Coordinator and Specialist roles;
  • Experience with employee development;
  • Recruiting experience on operations side;
  • Ability to oversee largescale project and programs;
  • Experience DEA materials and High Haz;
