The Opportunity

Our Kleen Performance Products blending and packaging facility in Dolton, IL is looking for an Entry Level Facility Technician to join the team, working in the blended oil products department. This position is responsible for operating a packaging line efficiently and safely while achieving production targets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times;
  • Run a filler and a drop packer;
  • Operate and replenishing labelling machines;
  • Perform quality checks on the line;
  • Fill drums, totes, pails with finished new blended oil products and washer fluid products;
  • Package finished products;
  • Unload incoming tanker trucks with finished product into the tank farm;
  • Flush lines during production to ensure there is no cross contamination;
  • Operate, at times, a spotter truck and/or sit-down forklift;
  • Other duties as required by the lead hand or production supervisor.

What does it take to work for Safety-Kleen?

  • Previous laborer experience is an asset (ie. manufacturing or production background); or the ability to perform manual labor required;
  • Previous small consumer packaging/filling/processing experience preferred;
  • Previous experience operating a Spotter/Yard Truck and/or Forklift an asset; We Will TRAIN!
  • Mechanically inclined and able to troubleshoot is an asset;
  • Effective communication skills.
