The Opportunity

The LDAR Technician/EPA Compliance Operator will be responsible for performing leak detection and repair best practices at the Company's Aragonite facility in order to maintain compliance per the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). Our facility is located off exit 56 on I-80 headed West from Tooele towards Wendover. Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure health & safety is #1 priority at all times
  • Understand the EPA and DWMRC regulations and rules (LDAR) for testing in order to complete goals of accuracy and compliance
  • Responsible for daily, weekly monthly LDAR checks (utilizing PID meter or FID meter).
  • Record all data, input repair orders, ensure repair orders are completed, follow up.
  • Utilizing ladders, man lifts, fall protection devices and adhere to all safety rules to access equipment
  • Communication with CBO for available and in use systems
  • Basic computer skills including Microsoft Excel
  • Will support two locations:  Aragonite and Clive
  • Participate in on-site training program 
  • Other duties as assigned

What Does it Take to Work for Clean Harbors?

  • Ability to acquire knowledge of the environmental compliance requirements of 40 CFR Part 60 and State rules related to LDAR
  • Experience reading P&IDs
  • Experience troubleshooting instrumentation
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Must be able to work at heights
  • Must be comfortable working outdoors during all weather conditions
  • Basic mechanical skills
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to other Facilities/Company Locations
  • Ability to work a rotating shift work, including nights and weekends
