The Opportunity:

Safety-Kleen Caseyville, IL is looking for a Warehouse Forklift Operator (open to travel) to join their safety conscious team! As a Warehouse Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for managing drums of waste that come into the facility.  This will include receiving, scanning, and palletizing them for proper shipment. You will be responsible for completing all assigned warehouse duties in a safe and responsible manner.

 

  • This team member will travel 2 weeks out of the month

Key Responsibilities:  

  • Ensures Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times;
  • Day-to-day planning, transfer coordination and execution of proper paperwork for hazardous waste drum management;
  • Load and unload drums from trucks;
  • Weigh and label drums/manifest;
  • Monitors and insures that all key deadlines are met and proper follow-up is implemented to insure proper drum transfer compliance requirements;
  • Operate Forklift as needed;
  • Responsible for knowledge of WIN system applicable to truck-to-truck movements.

 

What does it take to work for Safety-Kleen? 

  • Willing to travel away from home up to 2 weeks a month.
  • H.S. Diploma or equivalent is required;
  • The ability to work a rotating shift that includes nights, weekends, and holidays;
  • Warehouse or related experience is a plus;
  • Forklift experience is a plus;
  • Good Organizational and communication skills;
  • Need to be comfortable with computer-based systems (word, Excel, and Outlook);
  • Ability to work in adverse environments (cold/heat).
