The Opportunity:

As a Receiving Chemist you will be responsible for lab pack coding and processing, drum receiving coding, and sampling of hazardous waste materials. Abundant overtime opportunities available for this position.  


  • Ensures Health and Safety is the number one goal by following policies, processes, and acting in a safe manner at all times.
  • Receives all lab pack containers and properly codes all chemicals for disposal processing.
  • Samples all incoming drums and performs basic analysis of samples following prescribed procedures.
  • Responsible for proper management and shipment of all drum and bulk outbound shipments.
  • Completes all paperwork associated with consolidation, analysis, and drum handling sampling processes.
  • Work closely with National Logistics to assure proper coordination and scheduling of outbound shipments.
  • Performs all shipping tasks with a working knowledge of DOT shipping protocol.
  • Responsible for maintaining a safe working environment that is in compliance with all applicable OSHA regulations as well as all applicable company Health & Safety and Compliance protocols actively participates in the training of Chemist I employees. 


  • High School diploma or equivalent required 
  • 3+ years’ experience in Hazardous Waste Industry required
  • 1+ years of shipping, receiving, and lab pack experience required
  • 40 hour OSHA training required
  • Proficiency in Windows based applications
  • Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs.
