The Opportunity

Safety-Kleen is looking for a District Service Delivery Manager to join their safety conscious team! This position is responsible for managing Bulk Products and Services Reps within their district. The District Service Delivery Manager will also maintain compliance with all company policies, sales growth, customer satisfaction, retention, profitability and other operational controls within district.

Position may require travel 10-15% of the time. Preferred location of this position is the New Haven, CT branch location.

 Key Responsibilities: 

  • Ensures Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times;
  • Responsible for District Adherence to Operational Guidelines;
  • Manage Route Drivers/Admin within district;
  • Manage product and service trainings for all direct reports;
  • Manage District P&L;
  • Conduct end-of-day check-in / morning check-out process to be sure expectations are met;
  • Conduct weekly district meetings with district service staff to drive district performance and promote teamwork;
  • Responsible for holding direct reports accountable to service performance requirements;
  • Collaborate with BPS Sales Directors to enhance district sales performance;
  • Ensure timely response to all customer requests;
  • Other duties as assigned.

 What does it take to work for Safety-Kleen?

  • 3-5 years relevant experience. Industry experience is an asset;
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred; Extensive comparable work experience may be accepted in lieu of college degree;
  • Knowledge of safety and environmental policies, legislation and regulations;
  • Willing to travel 10% of the time;
  • Issue Resolution;
  • Ability to motivate others;
  • Understanding of sales process;
  • Able to interview and use employee selection skills;
  • Self-reliant;
  • Leadership and Team building skills;
  • Management experience;
  • Business acumen;
  • Comfortable using computers, and must have a minimum of intermediate skill sets in Outlook and Excel;
  • Display a strong acumen in budgeting and reading P&L statements;
  • Excellent Judgment/ Decision-Making;
  • Working knowledge of DOT/Fleet compliance;
  • Good written and oral communication skills;
  • Recognize the importance of environmental, health, and safety;
  • Time management skill;
  • Negotiating skills;
  • Attention to detail;
  • Organizational skills;
  • Ability to recognize and solve difficult business issues.
