Responsibilities

$5,000 sign on bonus available to a candidate who meets the requirements of the position.

The Opportunity 

Our Technical Service Drivers (Class B CDL) perform duties associated with travel to and from multiple customer locations each day, loading/unloading of your truck, accurate completion of shipping documents/hazardous waste manifests, inspection of containers before accepting them into our network, interacting directly with customers during services, working outside year round in all types of weather. 

This position is typically Monday-Friday starting around 7:00 am; Saturdays as needed (some required some voluntary). This position will average between 50-60 hours a week with OT paid out after 40 hours in a week. This position will also average about 1 overnight a week and cover mostly Eastern Washington with some trips to Montana or Oregon as needed.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Ensuring that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times;
  • Performs industrial tank cleaning, utility work, facility shutdowns, emergency response, site remediation, rail car cleaning;
  • Vehicles operated, but not limited to Vacuum Trucks, Cusco, Box Trucks and Roll offs;
  • Maintain daily logs, time sheets, expense reports, dispatch and trip reports as well as vehicle inspection reports. 

What does it take to work for Clean Harbors? 

  • Class B CDL License is required;
  • Ability to operate a manual transmission and no CDL restriction for automatic required;
  • Hazmat and tanker preferred or willing to obtain after hire;
  • Industrial labor experience (heavy lifting, equipment operation, confined space) a strong asset;
  • Previous driving experience preferred;
  • Ability to use mobile computers.
