Responsibilities

As a Welder you will be responsible for fabricating and constructing new commercial truck subframes from raw materials. The facility is a brand new, state of the art refurbishment facility. It is well maintained, well lit, contains new equipment and has excellent ventilation. The facility provides state of the art welding equipment and tooling.

  Responsibilities:

  • Ensures Health and Safety is the number one goal by following policies, processes, and acting in a safe manner at all times.
  • Fabricate and assemble commercial truck subframes through the effective use of tools and assembly equipment.
  • Read and follow detailed blueprints that show how to assemble subframes.
  • Produce quality product while focusing on given standards.
  • Log all necessary entries of time and materials into electronic repair order system.
  • Ensure the shop area is kept clean, tidy and free of hazards at all times.
  • Performs other welding duties and tasks as assigned from time to time by management and will be required by the needs of the Clean Harbors business.

  Education/Knowledge:

  • 3+ years of welding experience required
  • 3G Welding Certification preferred
  • PC skills required
  • Ability to weld pipe and structural tube
  • Ability to weld MIG, TIG, and Stick
  • Knowledge of basic hand tools and ability to remove and install various parts by hand
  • Ability to work in non-climate controlled environment
  • Ability to read blueprints strongly preferred
