The Opportunity 

Our Belle Chasse, LA location is seeking an InSite Refinery Foremen. The successful candidate will be responsible for the supervision of a crew of Environmental Technicians, Forklift Operators, Hazardous Material Operators. Location will be in a refinery setting at a customer location.  Under the direction of Program Manager this Insite Foreman will be supervising the performance of tasks associated with equipment decontamination, turn around work, and hazardous waste management at a refinery.

Key Responsibilities:  

  • Ensuring that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times;
  • Organizing crews, delegating job responsibilities and verifying that the appropriate equipment is available and on-site to complete the project/job;
  • Completing and submitting daily work sheets for proper billing to customer;
  • Training and mentoring of our Environmental Technicians, Forklift Operators, Hazardous Material Operators, and Drivers.
  • Reporting all work-related accidents/incidents to their supervisor;
  • Assisting with emergency on-call work, this could include weekends and holidays. 

What does it take to work for Clean Harbors? 

  • 1+ year of refinery specific experience including RSO training, or similar industrial services experience.
  • 1+ year of supervisory or management experience;
  • Knowledge of chemicals and hazardous waste;
  • Ability to travel overnight up to 10% of the time;
  • Ability to be on-call for emergency response situations;
  • Valid driver’s license preferred;
  • HAZWOPER an asset.
  • Open to night shift work during turn arounds
