Class B CDL Required
Ability to obtain Hazmat endorsement within 90 days of hire
Monday through Friday work schedule
Hourly Wages, Overtime after 40 hrs.
1 overnight a week


The Opportunity  
 

Our Dolton, IL location is seeking a Class B Route Driver (Retail Technician) to join their safety conscious team! Class B Hazmat Drivers pick up inventory that is damaged or expired at retail locations and transport the inventory to a Clean Harbors facility for disposal.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times;
  • Driving a Class B Box Truck, visiting retail customer sites;
  • Segregating, packing and loading materials and waste products (inventory that is damaged or expired) for safe transportation;
  • Preparing DOT shipping documents;
  • Conducting projects/jobs according to site specific Federal, State and local regulations and health and safety plans as well as Clean Harbors Environmental Services, Inc., policies and procedures.

What does it take to work for Clean Harbors?

  • Class B CDL with a clean 3 year MVR is required;
  • Ability to obtain Hazmat Endorsement within 90 days of hire;
  • Previous commercial driving experience preferred;
  • Willing to travel overnight up to 20% of the time (approximately 1 night a week).
