The Opportunity

Safety-Kleen is looking for an Production Supervisor, internally known as Manager Oil Facility, to join their safety conscious team! This role oversees the day to day operation with effective labor, productivity and safety measures as established and set for the Operations Department. Enhances the operational procedure, systems and principles in the areas of information flow and management, business processes, enhanced management reporting and looks for opportunities to expand systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensures Health and Safety is the number on goal by following policies, processes, and acting in a safe manner always.
  • Recruit, select, train, assign, schedule, coach, counsel and discipline employees
  • Perform multiple site-specific plant operations such as, offloading of raw materials (bulk and packaged), blending finished good products within a tank farm operation, truck offloading/loading in compliance with DOT requirements, and oversights of warehousing.
  • Supervise and develops multiple, Plant Foremen and plant operators.
  • Work on personnel functions including, but not limited to hiring, terminating, development, etc.
  • Ensure that employees follow and maintain all applicable Health and Safety Standard Operating Procedures. Holds employees accountable.
  • Review and approve (forthcoming) weekly production plans and execute per plan
  • Responsible for maintaining a clean work environment.
  • Performs other duties and tasks as assigned from time to time by management and will be required by the needs of the Clean Harbors business.


What does it take to work for Safety-Kleen?

  • High school diploma or equivalency required – Bachelors preferred;
  • 6+ years of plant operations experience;
  • 4+ years of plant supervision experience;
  • Lean Six Sigma experience a plus;
  • Common computer proficiencies (excel, word, outlook, etc.) ;
  • Ability to work weekends as needed;
  • Ability to travel 10% as needed.

Physical requirements:

  • Requires color determination.
  • Requires standing, pulling and/or pushing, carrying, reaching, stooping and crouching, speaking, listening, or smelling.

  • Requires sitting, climbing, walking, lifting, grasping, crawling, near vision acuity.
