The Opportunity 

Clean Harbors, Norwell, MA is looking for a Senior Payroll System Analyst to join their safety conscious team! This role will oversee support all phases of implementation and upgrades to ADP or other Payroll systems including gathering end user requirements and recommendations for best practice solutions.

Key Responsibilities:  

  • Ensuring that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times;
    • Extensive functional experience with Payroll and/or HR Systems (PeopleSoft).
    • Create Functional and Technical design documents, test plans, test cases, scripts, and training documents. Assist in UAT for all upgrades and system enhancements.
    • Set up configuration of Payroll Core tables.
    • Assist Payroll and/or HR Staff with interfaces to/from vendors, and support interfaces to payroll and other internal systems.
    • Ensure data integrity and accuracy of employee and business information across all Payroll systems through periodic reviews and audits.
    • Partner with Information Technology (IT) to identify and resolve any technical issues impacting Payroll data management.
    • Research, review and analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of existing Payroll/HRIS systems and develop strategies for improving or further leveraging these systems and processes.
    • Create, summarize, analyze, and interpret Payroll and HR Data and metrics including but not limited to labor reporting and costing.
    • Fulfill ad hoc reporting and analysis request from Payroll and HR organization and from Senior Management.
    • Monthly reporting of key Payroll "dashboard" metrics and payroll data accuracy for acquisitions.
  • Other Duties as Assigned.

What does it take to work for Clean Harbors? 

• High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelors degree preferred.
• 5+ years experience in an HR/Payroll environment working with PeopleSoft and Payroll systems.
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
• Advanced Access and Excel skills.
• Proven experience in database query, reporting tools, and database systems.
• Peoplesoft or ADP knowledge preferred.
• Statistical database or program experience preferred.
