The Opportunity

Clean Harbors [location] is looking for a Lead Central Profile Representative to join their safety conscious team! The Lead Central Profile Representative is responsible to approve incoming waste streams, and mentor less experienced central profile personnel, as well as ensuring that departmental objectives are met, and ensuring all business transactions, managed within the department, are performed in compliance with company policies and procedures, working under direction from supervision.  Position may require travel away from home up to XX% or XX weeks at a time.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times;
  • Ability to recognize higher hazard waste streams
  • Knowledge of all facility permits
  • Approves incoming waste profiles, minimum of 25 profiles per day
  • Acts as a technical resource for Sales, Operations, Facilities and customers
  • Ability to train new members; ensures personnel are properly trained on business process flows, information systems and SOPS and that all business transactions managed within the dept are performed in compliance with company policies and procedures
  • Active role in promoting teamwork, ownership, premier customer service and quality
  • Generates complete and accurate profile level instructions, ensures all supplemental paperwork is completed as part of the profile approval process and communicates modifications to existing profiles to the proper parties when applicable (e.g. re-codes)
  • Knowledge of Waste Classification codes (coding which holds up to critical review, cannot be too conservative) and understands the relationship between CHES WCC and pricing .



What does it take to work for Clean Harbors?

  • High school diploma required, Bachelor’s degree preferred in Business or Environmental Sciences;
  • 3+ years of industry related experienced required;
  • Ability to understand and interpret EPA, State, DOT and TSCA laws/regulations;
  • Ability to recognize higher hazard waste streams;
  • Knowledge of all facility permits;
  • Knowledge of Waste Classification codes (coding which holds up to critical review, cannot be too conservative) and understands the relationship between CHES WCC and pricing;
  • Strong Customer Service Skills;
  • Strong Written Communication Skills, and Verbal Communication Skills;
  • Ability to Handle Multiple Tasks Simultaneously;
  • Detail Oriented;
  • Ability to Work in a Team Environment;
  • Works with minimal supervision;
  • Strong organizational skills;
  • Must be decisive and take initiative in problem resolution;
  • Proficiency in Windows applications;
  • Competency with Online profile system.
