Responsibilities

 

 

Safety-Kleen is seeking a Material Handler. You will be responsible for completing all assigned warehouse duties in a safe and responsible manner. This individual will work within all local, state, and federal rules and regulations; and follow all Safety-Kleen policies and procedures.  

 

 

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • oUnload route truck containerized waste.
  • oReload route trucks with supplies and equipment for next day’s runs.
  • oStock warehouse with materials after Distribution Center truck arrival.
  • oPrepare waste loads for shipment to Recycle Center/Distribution Center.
  • oHousekeeping in branch (sweeping, cleaning, straightening).
  • oEmpty and fill drums of aqueous solution
  • oPerform minor repairs on parts washers at warehouse.
  • oSupervise third party bulk liquid transfers.
  • oAssist with inventory count at warehouse.
  • oOther duties as required

 

 

 

Requirements:

 

  • oHigh school diploma or GED required
  • o1+ years’ work experience
  • oAttention to detail needed
  • oAbility to follow specific instructions
  • oAbility to work with minimal supervision at times
  • oForklift driving skills
  • oApplicants for employment in the U.S. must possess work authorization which does not require sponsorship by the employer for a visa

Physical Demands:

 

Typical 8 hour shift to include light computer usage. In order to perform the duties of the job employee must have the ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, kneel, climb, crawl, reach, squat, stoop and twist. Must also have the ability to carry, lift, pull and push between1-100+ lbs. May also drive a vehicle and move equipment.
