The Opportunity

The Environmental Operations Manager known internally as a Technical Services Ops Manager, has direct responsibility for the operational execution of Transportation & Disposal, CleanPack and InSite service lines including the oversight and management of all truck-to-truck transfer operations within the region. This position is known internally as a Technical Services Operations Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times;
• Manage and supervise CleanPack, Logistics, and Technical Service Coordinators;
• Oversee project managers and coordinators to manage labor and equipment resources to cover all customer needs and maximize utilization objectives;
• Promote compliance according to rules/regulations on labor relations, OSHA, DOT and workers compensation;
• Ensure all drivers and chemists submit daily paperwork as required per DOT and company policy;
• Maintain job level profitability on all Transportation & Disposal, CleanPack and InSite jobs within region.

What does it take to work for Clean Harbors?

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science or Business Management preferred;
• 3+ years of experience in the Hazardous Waste industry
• 1+ year of experience directly managing a staff;
• Experience managing to P&L and budgets;
• Working knowledge of environmental statutes and regulations;
• DOT and RCRA experience;
• Hazwoper Certified;
• PC skills including Microsoft Suite;
• Ability to travel as required;
• Excellent interpersonal, presentation and communications skills;
• Customer Service oriented;
• Previous Lab Pack and/or InSite Management experience preferred.
