The Opportunity

Clean Harbors Fort McMurray, AB is looking for a Shared Services Administrator. Shared Services Administrator is responsible to reconcile payroll transactions and runs, to update and enter training records, to submit purchase orders in a timely manner, to process vendor invoices in a timely manner, and perform human resources tasks, such as scheduling physical exams, answering local employee questions or routing employees to the appropriate person, and coordinating the local hiring process for multiple functions or organizations such as health and safety, operations, and finance. This position is a temporary position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times;
  • Reconcile payroll transactions and runs;
  • Working on payroll daily;
  • May act as a point of entry contact and distributor of badges for site access;
  • Update and enter training records;
  • Submit purchase orders in a timely manner;
  • Process vendor invoices in a timely manner;
  • Preform human resources tasks, such as scheduling physical exams, answering local employee questions or routing employees to the appropriate person, and coordinating the local hiring process;
  • May as a receptionist and do mail distribution;
  • Preforms other duties and tasks as assigned from time to time by management and will be required by the needs of the Clean Harbors business.

What does it take to work for Clean Harbors?

  • High school diploma required Associate degree in business with some accounting classwork preferred;
  • Knowledge of business practices;
  • Knowledge of MS Office Word and Excel;
  • Keyboard Skills;
  • 3 years required, 5 years preferred in office practices, Payroll, data entry, general business and accounting experience;
  • Ability for timely and accurate data entry, general business understanding skills, ability to work well and listen to others;
  • Good administrative skills;
  • Ability to meet deadlines;
  • Identify, raise, and resolve process issues in a timely fashion;
  • Ability to work over time and weekends as necessary;
  • Accounting and mathematical skills;
  • Motor coordination, especially in computer and keying skills.
