The Opportunity

 

The Supply Chain Analyst, internally known as an Asset Manager, is responsible for the overall lifecycle management of bulk lubricant containers utilized in Clean Harbors operations throughout North America. The position will have a focus on asset management and inventory management for our network of Intermediary Bulk Containers (IBCs). These containers are utilized to support delivery of bulk fluids to our customers. Other responsibilities include: asset acquisition and justification, asset deployment, logistics, asset utilization, designing and adhering to preventative maintenance schedules, and final asset disposition or disposal at the end of the lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensures that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times;
  • Manage utilization of all containers to ensure that no assets are sitting for long periods of time with inactivity;
  • Train and assist branches, distribution centers, and packaging plants with each step of IBC management;
  • Work with each facility to inspect assets at least once per year and facilitate the disposal process for end-of-life containers;
  • Ensure compliance with inventory management practices to ensure that all volume is tracked properly;
  • Audit and monitor depletion transactions to ensure that fluid is being depleted at point of sale
  • Develop new initiatives to drive cost savings for single use containers that can be transitioned to a reuse program;

 

 What does it take to work for Clean Harbors?

  • Bachelor's Degree required; Degree in Accounting or Supply Chain preferred;
  • Previous experience in inventory or supply chain ideal;
  • Previous experience in an industrial facility or environment preferred;
  • Solid project management skills to effectively manage multiple small to large projects in a cross-functional environment preferred;
  • Experienced with computerized maintenance systems for asset management preferred;
  • Advanced knowledge of entire MS Office Suite required.
  • Experience with Pivot tables and Vlookups in MS Excel required.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, both verbal and written;
  • Ability to travel roughly 10% throughout North America as required;
