The Opportunity

Clean Harbors Des Moines, IA is looking for a Foreman (Field Services) to join their safety conscious team! You will be responsible for the supervision of Field Technicians and the tasks they perform on a variety of different projects, as well as ensuring the work is performed on time and within budget while adhering to all Health and Safety requirements.

Position may require travel away from home up to 30% of the year.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times;
  • Oversees projects associated with tanks cleaning, plant shutdown, spill cleanup, emergency response and more;
  • Supervises field technicians and emergency response operations;
  • Allocates manpower, organizes crews and delegates job responsibilities for Field Service projects;
  • Verifies that the appropriate equipment is available, allocated and on-site to complete jobs;
  • Ensures all daily paperwork is completed accurately and submitted within a timely manner, including customer billing, permits, audits, etc.;
  • Trains and mentors Field Technicians;
  • Performs other duties and tasks as assigned by management.

What does it take to work for Clean Harbors?

  • Willing to travel away from home up to 30% of the year;
  • Minimum of two (2) years environmental experience required (similar experience will be considered such as; industrial field, heavy construction and/or emergency response);
  • Minimum of one (1) year foreman or supervisory experience required;
  • Class B CDL preferred;
  • Ability to work on-call on a rotational basis.
