The Opportunity

Clean Harbors is looking for an Automation Manager to join their safety conscious team! This role identifies and implements measurements and controls improvement projects, interfacing with process systems used in Industrial Cleaning to achieve automation utilization goals to meet customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensures Health and Safety is the number one goal by following policies, processes, and acting in a safe manner at all times.
  • Identify and implement measurements and control improvement projects, interfacing with   process systems used in Industrial   Cleaning to achieve automation utilization   goals to meet customer requirements.
  • Coordinate and direct projects, making detailed plans to accomplish goals and direct the   integration of automation activities
  • Ensure that appropriate resources are provided to enable tooling support and   training support for all projects in a timely and cost-effective manner
  •  Oversee the functioning of equipment, including mechanical, electrical, and life safety
  • Prepare budgets, bids, and Margin enhancement
  • Provide leadership and review and approve product design and changes as well as   training requirements for end users.
  • Monitor QA systems and advise the VP Automation and Technology on system performance; publish statistics regarding performance against set goals
  • Field support, training,  and creating a hands-free environment, while eliminating manned confined space entry.
  • Present and explain proposals, reports, and findings to Management
  • Other Duties as Assigned

What does it take to work for Clean Harbors?

  • 7-10 years’ experience with Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, High School Diploma required;
  • Project Management with Six Sigma preferred
