Safety-Kleen is seeking an Engineering Intern for our East Chicago, IN Re-refinery location.  This individual will be involved with refinery and facility engineering, and conception and implementation of capital projects. This individual will also take part in various Process Safety Management (PSM) functions for specific areas within the facility.

Responsibilities:

  • Facility engineering function
  • PSM function
  • Capital projects function

Requirements:

  • Actively enrolled in either a mechanical or chemical engineering program, maintaining a 3.0 or above average.
  • Interest in working in a manufacturing, plant, or refinery environment.
  • Strong interest in rotating and process equipment specification and troubleshooting.
  • Works well with others.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects successfully.
  • Good decision-making.
  • Outgoing and hands-on personality.
