The Opportunity

Clean Harbors Fort McMurray, AB (98OLP) is looking for Combo, High-Pressure and Pressure Truck Operators to join their safety conscious team! You have a minimum of 1 year of experience safely operating, driving and maintaining industrial services equipment such as Combo Units, High-Pressure Units or Pressure Trucks.

Please be advised it is mandatory for candidates to hold valid First Aid, H2S Alive, and CSO/CSTS safety certifications prior to starting this position. Proof of certifications will be requested during the recruitment process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times;
  • Attends daily safety meetings and ensures all tasks are completed in a safe and efficient manner;
  • Operates, drives and stages various units (i.e. Combo Units, High-Pressure Units or Pressure Trucks);
  • Performs pre and post trip inspections including maintenance of equipment and general repairs;
  • Assists with job site preparation and communicates with dispatcher;
  • Works in confined spaces such as vessels and tanks and may transport hazardous goods;
  • Performs general labour duties as assigned, including the use of hand tools and operation of power equipment;
  • Works as part of a team with Customers, Co-workers & Supervisors. 

What does it take to work for Clean Harbors?

  • Must hold valid First Aid, H2S Alive and CSO/CSTS certificates (will be required to provide proof prior to first day);
  • Minimum of one (1) year assisting the following units; Combo Units, High-Pressure Units or Pressure Trucks ;
  • Minimum of one (1) year previous Oilsands experience;
  • Class 1 or 3 Driver’s license required;
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision in a team and safety focused environment;
  • Ability to work in all weather conditions for extended periods of time.
