The Opportunity

Our Daylighting team in Fort Saskatchewan, AB is hiring casual/project-based workers for a Hydrovac Operator position to join our safety conscious team! The successful candidate will be responsible for operating units in performing Daylighting excavation activities associated with pipeline, construction, utility and oil terminal work. This position requires approximately 50% travel throughout Western Canada.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times;
  • Attends daily safety meetings and ensures all tasks are completed in a safe and efficient manner;
  • Drives and operates Hydro Vac Units for Daylighting excavation, trenching and shoring;
  • Rigging equipment in and out;
  • Performs pre and post trip inspections and maintains and updates driver’s log book;
  • Works as part of a team with Customers, Coworkers & Supervisors.

What does it take to work for Clean Harbors?

  • 6+ months of Hydro Vac experience is required;
  • Class 1 or 3 license is required;
  • Previous experience in a labour intensive position and working in all types of weather conditions;
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision in a team and safety focused environment.
