Responsibilities

The Opportunity:

The Technical Manager- Chemicals will provide a wide range of expert level technical support to all areas within the Chemicals (EG, AFC, WWF) group. They will assist in the development of new products, product documents, technical training, provide field support as required, provide sales support, competitive product reviews and comparatives to support ongoing market expansion and growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create training documents for all segments of Chemicals (EG, AFC, WWF, etc.)
  • Guidance on technical content of product data and spec sheets.
  • Competitor product comparison and bid product crosses.
  • Training documentation for new products, segments and applications
  • Scoping customer needs for larger technical projects or needs.
  • Work to support Fleet Team expansion and increased market share.
  • Provide resources for technical data generation in support of SK marketing.
  • Maintain state registrations.
  • Other duties as required

 

What does it take for work for Safety-Kleen?

  • 5+ years of progressive experience within the antifreeze and lubricant manufacturing, technical or marketer industry required.  Experience in a lube refining and glycol business a bonus.
  • Experience working closely with OEM technical management expected.
  • Bachelor’s in science or equivalent qualifications.
  • Willing to travel 20%.  Varies based on time of year and program/customer support needs.
