The Opportunity

We are currently looking for a Class 1 Container Truck Driver to join our team in Red Deer, AB team on a full-time/permanent basis. This position is responsible for the transportation of non-hazardous waste and small oil field rental equipment from a client site to our Clean Harbors facility or outside disposal facility. Position offers 25% overnight travel annually and travel across the US Border.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensuring that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times;
• Driving and operating one or more of the following units: Container Truck, Winch Truck, Loader;
• Completing the proper documentation for the job using handheld units and/or paper documenting techniques, including pre/post trips;
• Completing minor vehicle maintenance;
• Maintaining the cleanliness of the unit;
• Providing high levels of customer service to our client base.

What does it take to work for Clean Harbors?

• Class 1 license required;
• 2 years’ of previous Class 1 driving experience preferred;
• Previous Oil field or Long Haul experience required;
• Previous experience operating bed trucks, winch trucks and/or loader units will be considered an asset but not required;
• Valid Passport required;
• Safety tickets preferred: H2S, First Aid with CPR, CSTS;
• Basic to intermediate computer skills;
• Ability to travel roughly 25% of the time, including potential trips to the U.S required.
