The Opportunity

Clean Harbors sits onsite at DuPont’s Wilmington, DE Facility. We are looking for an InSite Chemist to join their safety conscious team! Employee is responsible for the performance of tasks associated with handling of hazardous materials at our customer site. Position is a 1st shift.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times
  • Loading, packaging and segregation of materials and waste products
  • Characterizing various waste streams and unknowns as necessary
  • Does quality control check and sorts bins according to the contract
  • Assisting the Program Manager with various waste related activities including data entry and generating various waste reports
  • Ensure drum count is correct and that drum conditions are shippable in accordance to the policies and procedures of Clean Harbors
  • Operate forklift in a safe manner
  • Assist with the collection of waste at various storage locations around the facility utilizing a box truck

What does it take to work for Clean Harbors?

  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
  • Labpack experience is a plus
  • 1+ years of related experience
  • 40 hour HAZWOPER training preferred
  • Unknown handling certification (preferred but not required)
