The Opportunity 

Safety-Kleen Knoxville, TN is looking for a Field Operations Manager to join their safety conscious team! This person will assist in providing coverage to branches that do not have a Branch Manager in place, training new Branch Managers and assisting Senior Management with Operation Excellence projects.  Position may require travel away from home up to 75% of the time.

Key Responsibilities:  

  • Ensures Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times;
  • Oversee region operations including overall sales & profitability, incl.:
  • Drive business Goals in revenue achievement, CSR placements, and Pulls.
  • Ensure effective fleet and inventory management.
  • Drive improvements in on-time performance.
  • Coordinate with Area General Managers to ensure effective customer service delivery.
  • Ensure environmental health and safety compliance; assist with branch incident alert and spill response systems.
  • Support initiatives in Vac and Oil programs.
  • Assist Finance in preparing branch sales forecast and budget.
  • Assist in the performance management of all service employees in the region, through coaching and developing branch and market operations management. 

What does it take to work for Safety-Kleen? 

  • Willing to travel away from home up to 75% of the time;
  • Bachelors Degree Required (Alternative combinations of education and experience may be accepted in lieu of degree);
  • 7+ years of related experience including 3+ years of successful branch or operations management;
  • Effectively communicate at all levels of the organization;
  • Strong Time Management skills;
  • Ability to work within a group or on your own;
