Environmental Field Chemist

The Opportunity

Clean Harbors Anchorage, AK Branch is hiring an Environmental Field Chemist to join their safety consious team. The Chemist is responsible for assisting in the collection, identification and packaging of hazardous and non-hazardous waste. Our Field Chemists also prepare waste drums for pick-up and delivery at nearby customer sites.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensuring that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times;
• Segregating, packaging and preparing for disposal laboratory quantities of chemical waste;
• Drive a box truck to customer locations.

What does it take to work for Clean Harbors?

• High School diploma; Bachelors Degree preferred
• College degree in chemistry, biology, geology, or other natural science preferred;
• Environmental regulation experience is a plus but not required;
• Ability to obtain and retain a Class B CDL with Hazmat Endorsement.
