The Opportunity

Safety-Kleen is seeking a Plant Shipping & Receiving Manager to supervise the shipping and receiving departments and staff.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Ensures Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at al times;
  • Monitor facility and departmental performance, assist where needed;
  • Coordinate department efforts with other groups (logistics, lab, operations, order entry and maintenance);
  • Purchase supplies and services;
  • Facility Security Officer duties (planning, training, drills and reporting).
  • Maintain departmental compliance with Quality program;
  • Interviewing, hiring and development of staff;
  • Training;
  • Communicate and prepare reports for Government agencies;
  • Permits;
  • Other duties as required.

 What does it take to work for Safety-Kleen?

  • Associated degree or specialized training required. Bachelor's degree preferred;
  • 3+ years of supervisory experience in a plant atmosphere required;
  • Basic understanding of chemistry;
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills;
  • Mechanical skills and knowledge of hydraulics;
  • Knowledge of Coast Guard, D.O.T. and environmental regulations;
  • Leadership skills;
  • Training experience;
  • Organizational and problem solving skills.
