The Opportunity

Our Healthcare InSite Technician W/CDL Class B is based at a customer site and is responsible for collecting and preparing pharmaceuticals and bio-hazards for disposal. This position also ensures that governmental compliance and Health and Safety requirements are adhered to at all times. **This position is not a typical lab or research position, this will be located in various hospitals in the area**

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensures Health and Safety is the number one goal by following policies, processes, and acting in a safe manner at all times;
  • Develops work plan and schedule to efficiently complete each assignment;
  • Interfaces with the customer in a professional and effective manner;
  • Visits various areas of the customer site and collects containers of pharmaceuticals;
  • Consolidates, labels and prepares the pharmaceuticals for transport to the disposal site;
  • Ensures compliance with the pharmaceuticals waste storage areas;
  • Completes inspections of main hazardous waste accumulation areas;
  • Ensures that all contractual obligations are met and that any change orders are completed and executed before any additional work is performed;
  • Completes all applicable paperwork for job activity.

What does it take to work for Clean Harbors?

  • Degree in Chemistry, Biology or Environmental Science preferred;
  • General chemical and/or pharmaceutical knowledge;  
  • Valid Class B CDL, clean 3-year MVR;
  • Previous experience in a physically intensive position preferred.
