Overview

Clean Harbors in Chandler, AZ is looking for Hazmat General Laborers to join their safety conscious field team!

** $1,000 SIGN ON BONUS INCLUDED **

The successful candidate will be responsible for the performance of tasks associated with emergency response, hazardous waste clean-up, site remediation, working in confined spaces, equipment decontamination and handling of hazardous materials.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensuring that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times.
• Performing emergency response activities including, but not limited to chemical and water spills, etiological and biological contamination, tank cleaning and equipment decontamination, etc.
• Field laborer duties include hazardous and non-hazardous spill clean-up, tank cleaning, pressure washing, emergency spill clean-up, decontamination, etc. 
• Will work with hazardous materials, in confined spaces and may be working in places high above the ground with a harness
• Paid overtime after 40 hours in the work week.
• Monday – Friday.
• Usually has early morning start (usually 4:00 a.m. to 6:00 a.m.)
• Must be flexible to work other shifts as needed.
• On call rotation - may work weekends, evenings and holidays.
• Territory coverage = Arizona and surrounding states. 
• Will require off-site travel/overnight stay – 25 to 50% of the time with paid accommodations.
• THIS ROLE REQUIRES PUNCTUALITY, DEPENDABILITY AND A FLEXIBLE SCHEDULE.
• Other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

What does it take to work for Clean Harbors?

• Valid driver’s license an asset.
• Due to the emergency response and operational nature of the position, it will require some on-call availability that will rotate.
• Available for overnight travel about 50% of the time.
