Overview

Clean Harbors in Ryley, AB location is currently looking for an Equipment Operator to join their safety conscious team! This position is responsible for safely operating and maintaining the heavy equipment used in the landfill.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensuring that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times;
• Operate a variety of trucks and equipment, including: lugger trucks, rock trucks, highway trucks, vacuum trucks, water trucks, skid-steers, dozers, track hoes and forklifts;
• Pump and monitor leachate systems in the landfills;
• Maintain equipment through preventative maintenance;
• Timely and accurate completion of all required paperwork. 

Qualifications

What does it take to work for Clean Harbors? 
 

• Class 5 license is required;
• Previous heavy equipment operating experience is an asset (forklift, track hoes, dozers, loaders);
• Ability to work with minimal supervision in a team and safety focused environment;
• Ability to work in all weather conditions for extended periods of time;
• Ability to lift 50lbs regularly throughout the day.
