Facility Technician I

Pay and Hours: 

$22.00 hr - Day Shift - 07:00 – 3:30 (can be negotiated based on transportation needs)

Facility Technician I reports directly to Plant Foreman or Operations Supervisor and performs hands on operations such as drum pumping, drum dumping, tank farm operations and offloading vans. The essential elements of the position include, but are not limited to:

• Performs basic operations including, but not limited to:
• Drum movement
• Drum Pumping/Dumping
• Drum washing/crushing
• Drum Staging
• Opening and sampling drum procedures
• Tank farm truck loading/unloading in Compliance with DOT segregation requirements with supervision
• Responsible for maintaining a clean work environment
• Operates a forklift when necessary
  • Responsible for performing and documenting daily safety check prior to operating
  • Completes and submits all associated paperwork as required for waste tracking movements
  • Able to use scanning application for inventory
• Ensures that work meets all applicable Health and Safety Standard Operating Procedures
• Reviews all applicable SOP’s and satisfactorily completes quizzes
• Ensures, understands and has ownership for area specific permit required compliance standards.
• Meets or exceeds production goals
• Performs other assignments as assigned by management
• Understands Clean Compliance Standard

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:        

• High School Education or equivalent
• Fork lift training (preferred)

COMPETENCIES:

• Ability to work in team environment                    

PHYSCIAL REQUIREMENTS:

Frequently requires standing, pulling and/or pushing, carrying, reaching, stooping and crouching, speaking, listening, tasting or smelling

Occasionally requires sitting, climbing, walking, lifting, grasping, crawling, near vision acuity. Respirator Fit test
