The Opportunity

Our team in  is looking to add an IS Specialty Equipment Operator or Heavy Equipment Operator to their team!  The IS Specialty Equipment Operator  will be responsible for general labor and operating equipment, such as vacuum trucks, backhoes, bulldozers, loaders, excavators and other equipment within the facility while ensuring daily maintenance is performed on the equipment and any problems or issues with the equipment are reported immediately. This role will know how to run automation tooling and Hydro blast pumps.

 Key Responsibilities:

Ensuring that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times;

  • Engage in strenuous physical labor including lifting, pulling and pushing heavy objects.
  • Operate light and heavy equipment including, but not limited to: pumps, vacuum, equipment, oil spill boom, generators, bobcats, etc.
  • Perform emergency response activities including, but not limited to chemical and water spills, etiological and biological contamination, tank cleaning, equipment decontamination, etc.
  • Perform other duties and tasks as assigned from time to time by management and will be required by the needs of the Clean Harbors business.

 What does it take to work for Clean Harbors?

  • HS diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years’ experience operating vacuum truck, backhoe, track hoe, bulldozer, and/or loader
  • Ability to work outside in all weather conditions
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Strong commitment to safety
  • Strong mechanical ability
  • Pay Range: $22 - $30 hourly
